Pinn is a dynamic global leader committed to building high performing teams. She has a solid track record in culture change, partnering and influencing c-level executives and organizational transformation. She is passionate about developing people to their fullest potential and preparing leaders for change.

Pinn previously headed Organizational and Talent Development at The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited (HSH). HSH is a holding company of a Group which is engaged in the development, ownership and management of hotels (The Peninsula Hotels), commercial and residential properties in Asia, United States and Europe, as well as the provision of transport, club management and other services. In addition to formulating development strategies for employees globally, she was also responsible for executive development, talent acquisition, talent engagement and communication, organizational development and undertaking special projects such as new hotel openings for the group.

Prior to her move to Hong Kong, Pinn was Vice President and Innovation Strategist at The Idea Factory. The Idea Factory is a strategy process consulting firm whose methodologies are built around the principles of innovation and design. Founded in San Francisco in 1997, with the Global HQ in Singapore, The Idea Factory has helped numerous companies in the areas of strategy development, creation of new products and services, and the organic growth of a culture for innovation and enterprise. Pinn was one of the lead facilitators of The Idea Factory’s proprietary innovation capability development programme.

Pinn is a veteran in the hospitality human resources field. She had held the position of Regional Director of Human Resources and Training at Millennium and Copthorne International Limited. Her role required her to advise and strategize on human resource and training related matters for the Regional Office and nine hotels in the Asia Pacific Region. In the late 80’s to the mid 90’s, Pinn spent seven years in China to open hotels for Holiday Inn International. She was instrumental in establishing the Holiday Inn University with 600 students to address the manpower needs for the 17 hotels in China. She has worked in Shanghai, Xian, Guangzhou, Beijing and Shenzhen.

With 30 years of experience in hospitality, she is well respected in the industry and have served on the committee for the Tourism 21 Status Review on Tourism Manpower and Image Positioning for Singapore Tourism Board. She was a judge for the Annual Singapore Tourism Awards for eight years.

Pinn holds a Masters of Arts in Education and Human Development from George Washington University, a Bachelor of Arts in Administration and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario in Canada, and a Diploma in Training and Development Management from Singapore Institute of Management. She has also completed an ESSEC Business School Executive Programme on Luxury Brand Management.

Pinn enjoys traveling and spending time with family in Hong Kong, Singapore and Vancouver.
